The bahn mi is very good but boy are they rude...every single time.
I love the food but TWICE now I’ve ordered delivery from them and when I open the food I find that someone has ripped open a summer roll and eaten the shrimp out ..... my boyfriend and I joke that every time you order you have to pay the “shrimp tax” but honestly it’s gross that someone is touching the food and ruining it. Hanco’s please feed your delivery drivers more shrimp so I can keep mine.
First time visit. I tried their recommendation of Noodle Salad. I added crispy pork. Delicious!!! Also tried the Vietnamese coffee. Yum! A strong coffee with half and half. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area again. Very friendly staff (unusual for New York). Thank you for a delicious lunch!
Great food, quick service definitely worth a trip and would go there again for sure. Their sandwiches and spring rolls are really good as well!
Broth bland and flavorless. The employees are pretty rude. Place is clean however.
Beef Pho is my favorite.
Good bubble tea and pho, I recommend the mocha flavour with shredded chicken pho.
Excellent lunch spot. Seating is always available and never too noisy. I will say the system of getting your food at the back of the place is a bit questionable. But at the same time, it gives a different vibe to the standard lunch experience.
Best place for lunch/dinner! Amazing sandwiches. Best bubble tea in Brooklyn Heights!
Great Vietnamese sandwiches@!
Pretty good Vietnamese food here. On point as far as flavors goes
The rolls here are amazing. A very affordable way to get a unique tasting snack
Food was pretty good and nice environment
One of my favorite places for pho soup. I had shredded chicken and spring rolls. Everything was great. No complaints. I would definitely go back
This place isn’t worth the price or the wait. $20 for a vermicelli bowl and Thai iced tea. They don’t even bring the food to your table. Instead, everyone queues up for 10+ minutes and tables are dirty since there’s no staff to wipe down between guests. I greatly prefer a traditional pho restaurant with kind staff, speedy service and fair prices. This place is not that! The food also does not taste very good. Vermicelli noodles were overcooked and the lettuce they used isn’t the traditional kind for vermicelli salad, it was wilted from the hot pork. One star for the nice upper dining area with a skylight.
i love it! every time i go i’m never disappointed. great customer service and great food! 🔥
At first glance Hanco’s can be mistaken for a hole in the wall, Vietnamese sandwich and Bubble tea hot spot but it offers ample seating, WiFi and an overall cheerful little cove for delicious Vietnamese staples for cheap and affordable prices. The pickup counter is a little off to the side and confusing at first encounter but the food arrived promptly and tasted fresh and delicious.I tried the veggie roll as an appetizer and the spicy chicken signature sandwich, all of which tasted super good.
Hands down the best place in Brooklyn for a Banh Mi or Pho. The meats are always bbq’d/grilled to perfection and the veggies are always fresh and pickled perfectly. The pork and chicken over rice are very good as well. Service is always fast and nice. Both locations on Smith and Montague are worth a swing and it’s awesome that they have reward cards.
Great place to come in for a quick pho or sandwich. The bubble tea is so great.
If you're going to Hanco's you need to get anything with the roasted pork. Whether it's the sandwich, pho, or rice entree it's fresh and delicious. I've never had a bad experience here and eat here all the time. The bubble tea, pho, and sandwich stamp cards are also pretty nifty as you can get free treats for being a regular. All in all the interior is drab and boring so definitely more of a takeout place than a date spot, but the food is good and staff is friendly
Good food, consistent. Love the Pho and sandwiches.
I've been going to this Hanco's for years. It's not fancy but the food is always great. If you're looking for a quick Vietnamese bite to eat or grabbing some bubble tea, you can't go wrong. Don't expect a sit-down restaurant experience, but there are tables to eat.
Best Bahn Mi in Cobble Hill.
The bubble tea is absolutely the best I've ever had in New York city. My absolute favourite is bubble lemonade with extra bubbles, and it is just so delicious and a perfect balance. It isn't too sweet either. If I had one complaint, it is that the containers are non reusable plastic. It would be amazing if they had some sort of system where if you buy a reusable container and bring it back you get 25 to 50 cents off? That way those who wished could help save the environment and it would give them business from those who dont like the single use plastic. If the restaurant had that it would be absolutely perfect.
The ladies are pretty cool, they acknowledged me and ways deliver exceptional service.
Best pho I've had since my visit to The Noodle Bowl in Savannah.
Love the bubble tea- milk, hot. It's my favorite bubble tea! And the vermicelli salad- one of my favorites. There's also a rewards card, which I always appreciate.
Hancos has all of the basics you can expect at a Vietnamese restaurant. Good pho, great banh mi, and decent boba milk tea.
The watermelon juice was really refreshing. Little pricey but cute place.
Really good pho.
Best sandwich I’ve ever had. I miss it.
Came here since it had such high reviews but the boba Pearl's weren't fresh and the sandwich was ok...
Food is the best if you go get the shredded chicken sandwich
Decent Pho.
To be fair I had high hopes of finding vegetarian options here. I've been craving Phó along time now and hoped they'd have a vegetarian broth but unfortunately for me they only offered beef and chicken. Alright. I still wanted to give it a try bc I love Vietnamese food and only recently became vegetarian. So I opted for their rice entree w vegetarian pork (she informed me it was soy based). I also thought I'd try one of their rolls, the garden roll. Counter person was friendly and kindly directed me to pick up area down the short hall. There is upstairs seating with room for at least 18 ppl and skylights. The bobba tea smelled amazing (they were brewing a new batch) and though I really wanted to try one I had already spent $15 on perhaps not the best representation of this place's cuisine.
Nice Vietnamese food, I really liked their Thai iced tea
Hanco's is one of my favorite lunch spots in Brooklyn Heights. And so affordable. I don't eat bread so I usually get the pork salad which is filling and delicious.
Good classic sandwich, slow service but good selection if willing to wait... upstairs area to eat... not the cleanest..
Delicious and affordable Vietnamese food. Love how there are vegan, meat substitute meals offered on the menu. If you're vegan or vegetarian, get the vegan pork! Good variety of bubble tea.
Plenty place to sit. Free wifi. Wifi password are located on the top of the receipt. Their bah mi is flavor packed. Their beef noodle soup (pho) is refreshing. Love their summer roll and their peanut sauce paired with it.
Delicious pho & great bubble tea. Only flaw us having to walk your own hot bowl of soup to your table!
First time here, sandwiches are tasty here. Pho is nothing special but broth tasty good. Staffs are nice and friendly, atmosphere feels cozy and comfortable. Overall pretty good and cheap restaurant.
In my experience the food has always been delicious and the veggies always look fresh. I totally recommend the chicken vermicelli noodle salad and peach bubble tea.
This is my go lunch place because I love the food. I frequent the Montague location and the 7th Avenue location a couple times a week. My go to orders are summer rolls and pork vermicelli. Occasionally bubble tea. 1. Ordering is fast. Pick up is fast. There is plenty of staff available during the times I go. 2. Summer rolls is the best in the business. And of the Vietnamese restaurants I go to throughout the city, their peanut sauce is my favorite. 3. Pork vermicelli is delish. I haven’t tried the other goodies since I’m a creature of habit. 4. Bubble tea: good firmness of the tapioca. It’s a small detail but makes a difference when you try other bubble teas. 5. Price is fair. 6. Takeout: when I’m lazy to go from my office to Hanco’s, I’ll order over Seamless. No problems here. 7. I’m a repeat customer if that carries any weight.
Good food but terrible service. I've been here a couple of times and left feeling uncomfortable. I almost felt uninvited at this restaurant, will probably not go there again.
Great food and service, not one bad item on the menu.
Horrible service and lousy food.Three rersons at the counter, other two just walking around, no other customers and I still had to wait wor over 2o minutes for my sandwich. When I opened my sahdwich, there was a cucumber, carrot, turnip and nay be 1/2 Oz of some pinkish goo symbolizing meat.HORRIBLE!!!!
I really enjoy food here, I've tried their sandwiches, bowls, salads and soups and always want to come back. The service is great and the place look clean. For me the relation cost benefit is fair, you can find good options for a restricted budget. They have two locations, I've been in both and had good experiences in both.
Below average pho. Came here on Labor Day, 8 pm on a Monday. Had the beef pho which costs $10.75 per bowl. I also took a combo banh mi (which costs $8.25) to-go, but haven’t tried that yet. The pho wasn’t very hot when it came out and some of the meat was unchewable. The broth was very watery and not flavorful. For that kind of quality, the price should be lower. Otherwise, I don’t see how they keep business.Service is a bit strange. You have to pick up your food at the counter in the back when they call your number. Thus, there isn’t really any service. I shouldn’t have given a tip, since it made the overpriced food worse than it already is. Don’t recommend anyone come here unless you’re getting tea or something.
This is a great hidden gem, pho all day long
